The training involved 4 teachers from two regions of the mainland, Manyara and Pwani (Bagamoyo) and the other 2 teachers from 1 region of the Island – Mjini Unguja.
This program is designed for secondary school students who will have the opportunity to learn English and the 5 Core Social and Emotional skills, namely:
1. Relationship skills
2. Social Awareness
3. Self-Awareness
4. Responsible Decision-Making
5. Self-Management
The skilful coordinators for this program were Ayoub Msuya, Kessia Kiwia, and HappyGod Macha, supported by other senior leaders Martin Mwakilasa and Fatma Kisusi.
We were delighted to receive a visit from the Public Affairs Officials of the U.S. Embassy, where we extended a warm welcome to Ms Jean and Ms Laura Shayo. Additionally, we were honored to host Ms. Irene Maganga, the General Secretary of AfricaELTA. Each of them attended to observe the training activities and offered their blessings to both the participants and coordinators.
The training was officially concluded today December 6, 2023, and the teachers are ready for implementation.
