TELTA Arusha 2017

The first conference organized by TELTA took place at Mount Meru University in Ngaramtoni, Arusha, from June 28th to 30th, 2017. It gathered over 200 teachers from various parts of Tanzania and neighboring countries such as Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Ethiopia, Zanzibar, Switzerland, the UK, and the US.
The conference theme, “Connecting Teachers to New Methods and Techniques,”
This conference was supported primarily by the US Embassy in Tanzania, facilitating the participation of English Language Fellows from different countries.
Other sponsors, including the Tanzania Teachers’ Union (CWT), provided transportation, meals, and accommodation for more than 50 teachers. Mount Meru University sponsored the conference venues.
