Exchange programs

TELTA has been striving to benefit its members with various programs, with the main goal being to make the English language a favourite subject among students and teachers in Tanzania. In achieving this, TELTA has been connecting its members to participate in various exchange programs in the US and other parts of the world. Many TELTA members have participated in exchange programs in the US so far. Many of them have attended programs such as The Fulbright FLTA Program, TEA, PYLP, etc. These programs provide teachers of English as a Foreign Language the opportunity to refine their teaching skills and broaden their knowledge of American cultures and customs while strengthening the instruction of foreign languages at colleges and universities in the United States, as well as learning about lifestyles in US families. These programs have shown great success as many teachers, upon their return, have significantly improved teaching skills in English as required. Not stopping there, these TELTA teachers are also utilized as facilitators in various training sessions they organize.
